Samsung has recently announced the rollout of its cryptocurrency wallet-linkable mobile payments solution, Samsung Wallet, to users in Brazil, India, Malaysia, and five other countries. This development marks a major advancement in the ability of users to securely store and access their cryptoassets.

The Samsung Wallet mobile payments solution is compatible with several popular cryptoassets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin, allowing users to store them in a secure digital wallet. With the rollout of Samsung Wallet, users in the countries mentioned above will be able to quickly and safely access their crypto funds.

In the United States, Samsung Galaxy smartphone owners can already link their Samsung Wallets to their Coinbase accounts. This allows users to view their primary balances, however they still need to open the Coinbase app to access their coins and fiat. Coinbase has also stated that it is “working on making buying and selling cryptocurrency from Coinbase within the Samsung Wallet app available”, and that the exchange will “let customers know when these features are available.”

Samsung has further announced that it is “working hard” to “rapidly expand the availability of Samsung Wallet” and “bring the platform to more potential users.” The South Korean tech giant is currently in talks with potential partners in order to achieve this goal and to provide users with access to more cryptoassets.

This latest development by Samsung is undoubtedly a major step forward for cryptocurrency users in Brazil, India, Malaysia, and the other countries listed. It marks the beginning of a new era of digital payments, where users can securely store, access, and trade their crypto funds without having to worry about the safety of their assets. With the ongoing development of Samsung Wallet, it is likely that we will soon see more countries and more cryptoassets added to the list of countries and assets compatible with the wallet.
